As most of you know Teleah is a bit of a handful at times, but also full of personality. Here are some recent Teleah stories.
The other night Teleah was getting in trouble and was going to get a spanking and she ran up to the top bunk bed in her room where I could not reach her. I told her she needed to get down now. When she threw her hands in the air and with such conviction and concern told me "mommy I cant come down because if you spank me I'm gonna scream like a little girl and then I will wake up Jayce and you will be mad at me" Sometimes its really hard not to crack up at her logic. I did end up giving her just one more chance no spanking that night.

today she is not feeling well and is home from school. She does not like missing school at all. I called the doctor to let them know her symptoms and she informed me that I needed to let them know she was "eating rice chex and that is making me all better well a little bit all better." the nurse asked if there was anything else she wanted her to tell the doctor she said "yes Seriah is at school and thats not fair, and I am not"

Well it has been a long time since I have posted but life around here got a little tense. Jayce was put back in the hospital and had to have another surgery, they unblocked his gallbladder and the ducts around it. Then after surgery his stomach swelled up so huge it looked like it would pop. He had a infection so he had to go on a complete seven day with out any food. So we were in the hospital for two weeks. It was long and hard. But we are home now and he is doing good. This has been such a trying time that I could not have gotten through with out my God and Saviour. he gives us strength when we don't think there is anymore in us he sustains us when we want to give up. He gives us hope when there is none, then he sends us people in our lives that help us out when we need it. I cant thank everyone enough for all the prayers, dinners and helping with the girls that was given our way. But most of all the prayers, thank you so much for everything.
I thank God everyday for the people in our lives.

Well today I got to go to peoria with my friend Sally. We spent the day with Jayce in the NICU. Jayce looked great he is doing amazing. they started him on breast milk yesterday and he is handleing it very well. he is eating and pooping like he is suposed to. By morning he will be on 1oz of milk and then they will start him on enzymes. they are feeding him every three hours and uping how much they give him every three feedings. by early next week he will be on 2oz. then if he does well on that for 48 hours he can come home. SO BY THIS TIME NEXT WEEK IF ALL GOES WELL HE WILL BE HOME. I can barley contain my excitment. i got to hold him all day and cuddled him alot i was in heaven. He is now only one one IV. and his feeding tube was taken out tonight. The last IV will be stopped by tomarrow. So he will have no more tubes by tomarrow evening.

jayce

Well this has been a very long hard week. Jayce was air lifted to the Peoria hospital on wendesday and they did surgery on him that night. They had to get the blockage out befre it caused a rupture. The surgery went really well they were able to fix the problem with out cutting into his internal organs. That was really good since had they had to it would have had a whole other set of issues. So he is doing good he is still sleeping from the surgery and they are slowly waking him up. He looked so much better after the surgery. this is going to be a long road he will not be able to come home for at least two weeks. so please pray for him to recover and for our girls to this is very hard on them and there are alot of tears. Me and Sean came home for a few days last night to be with them. I am trying to take these days and get myself better to so that I am able to walk again and be able to be there for my new son and my daughters and husband. i am so blessed to have such a wonderful family and friends who have been there so much for all of us. This is going to be a long raod and I would love all the prayers that we can get. This is going to be a few weeks of alot of traveling and juggling, not to mention alot of emotions.

update

Well today has been a roller coster of emotions. I really want to just bring Jayce home. It is really hard not being able to take care of him or even hold him when I want to, however I know this soon will pass. We did find out that the blockage is 80% gone now and that is great news. Once the blockage is gone he will have to show a pattern of being able to eat and then poop. So at least another few days, sigh.

I am still very sore and my feet are larger then they were before I had him. I am very tierd but can not sleep. So please keep us in your prayers. This is very Hard. I know God is in control and that is what is keeping me moving.

the first day of school

The first day of school….
Seriah started the fourth grade; I can’t believe my baby is in fourth grade. It seems like time is flying by. This year the school had to have another fourth grade class so Seriah got the class that is up in the fifth grade hallway and that means they are the only fourth grade class to get lockers. Lockers are so exciting it was all she talked about for weeks we even got her a locker mirror. It is so funny how something that might seem trivial is so exciting at this age. I am very blessed because Seriah has always and still does really love school she can’t wait to get there and look forward to what will happen every day if only I had that enthusiasm when I was her age I think school would have been easier for myself. So we try to encourage her love of school. She also is a very good big sister and has been coaching Teleah on school and how great it is. Teleah started kindergarten this week. She also could not wait to get there and wanted daily assurance that she would get to go all day everyday just like sister. Last year in preschool was half day three days a week and she wanted more. The morning of school both of them came running to our room yelling it’s the first day it’s the first day. They scared me since I was asleep until this happened but hey at least I am not fighting them out the door. So we dropped Seriah off at the bus and I took Teleah into her school. I had to run in real quick to make sure the teacher got some info first so I told Teleah to stand in the kindergarten line and not to move and I would be right back. She said ok and was fine with that well on my way back out the kindergarteners were walking in but there was no Teleah! I asked where she was and went outside and there she was standing right where I told her not to move. Bless her little heart she listened so I got her inside and she could not wait she posed for pictures and asked me to take more pictures. She was very brave until about five minutes before school started then she started to shrink. She was a little nervous but the teacher took her hand since Teleah didn’t want me to leave and she walked in. I of course walked away but snuck back to make sure she was ok and she was. After school she was all smiles and wanted to go again. Both girls had a blast at school and told me all about it after school. One good day down. Iwill post pictures when I get them

baptism

this weekend Teleah was baptised. She has been asking to be baptised for about a year but we were unsure if she really understood what it meant so we had her wait. However this summer she started to be able to tell us what it meant and was able to explain it to us,so we agreed. What an awesome experience to see this little child with such a passion for Christ. She is so full of zeal. She even lead everyone in a song of I cling to the cross by the way her favorite song. Sean got to help baptise Teleah and he was thrilled to do it. Sean has now helped baptise both kids and it is such a blessing to have children who both love Christ with all of their hearts what else could I ask for.

OK Hello where has summer gone. On one hand it has gone very slow because I am so big and pregnant that it seams to drag on forever, though on the other hand it seams like the kids just got of of school. We got the info the other day for school registration and man it made it real. the girls were so excited though one Seriah loves school and would be in favor of year round. and Teleah just cant wait to go to kindergarten she cant wait to be there all day. I was reading the school supply lists to the girls and got some funny reactions. when reading Seriah's I think she realized the increase in the amount of folders and paper and not so many craft items I think the amount of work that fourth grade will require hit home. she said why so many folders and paper, I told her because there would be alot more work this year she just sighed. Teleah on of the things on her list was a beach towel (for rest time) she asked "oh we are going swimming in kindergarten." I said no it is for rest time she informed me that "rest time is not for kids who go to school all day" i just laughed. Teleah has asked for daily reassurance that she will go to school and come home at the same time as Seriah. she wants to make sure she'll be there all day.
I was looking at the girls the other day and man were has time gone, they are getting so big. I asked Seriah to hand something to her dad so he could put it on top of the fridge for her and she said I can reach. She then walked over and put it up there now this may not seem to big but when did my little girl get so tall that she can reach on top of the refrigerator. Teleah yes she is small but we are noticing so much change in her attitude daily she has calmed down so much and just acts so grown up. Maybe it is because we are getting ready for this new little guy and I'm looking at all these baby clothes but they are getting so big. So there is my rant.
